@beenscammed: i think we have been scammed by the same person. jason ramos. what you told about the picture in his bunk with a calendar on the wall with Oct 2010 on it. i have the same one. he contactet me on the dating platform "b2". wonderfull mails for 6 weeks and he did never ask for money. just that he could never go online on skype because his camera did not work. and i could not call him because of security reasons. i was reading his mails again and again, and i'm convinced, that there were from different persons. sometimes very clear and intelligent and others a bit confused. my heart is broken but i'm hoping not for a long time. d'ont forget that on the pictures are not the persons writing you - the mails came just from a lost brain somwere in the univers.
The person in the photos is not involved in these scams in any way, and has tried to get fake profiles using his photos removed, but scammers create new fakes faster than he can find and report them.

I'm from USA, I live in Charlotte , NC but now in Afghanistan. I'm a colonel of the 12th infantry Regiment, soon heading for my retirement in a couple of months. I believe you're doing great out there? I've been too busy the last few years to have time to socialise but now decided I need to get out and meet someone, hopefully that I can spend quality time with. I haven't been with any dating agency before so not sure what to expect, but really looking for someone who is caring , honest , good company and above all has a good sense of humor, I think those three things apply to me so its a good start. I enjoying traveling, dining out, music and most of the normal things.. You seem to be a nice woman and I would love to get to know more about you.I was once married, lost her due to cancer . Typical scammer claim here I live alone. I have no kids. Feel free to ask anything that you want to know about me...okay! I look forward to hear from you soon. Hugs,Jason
Sorry I could not reach you earlier on time as you'd expected. Well I got stack with work yesterday. The fact that English isn't his first language shows here.
I was born on November 20, 1955. I entered the Army on June 30, 1976. I attended Basic Training and Armor Advanced Individual Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Throughout my career I've held a variety of leadership positions ranging from Cavalry Scout, Command Sergeant, Tank Commander to my current position. Most of this information is copied from the profile of Kenneth O. Preston here
My duty as a Colonel is to command a unit and/or entire bases, offering advice and managing certain operations as needed. Text in italics is copied from here: http://www.ehow.co.uk/facts_5865782_duties-lieutenant-colonel_.html My Awards and Decorations include the Legion of Merit (w/oak leaf cluster), the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (w/three oak leaf clusters), Joint Service Commendation, Humanitarian Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
On my retirement I don't have any work in mind doing. No, I don't have any other profession... When is your Birthday? and let me ask do you see yourself working till 64 years? (again poor English skills evident here)
Other than these questions I have few questions to ask, anyway you can choose to answer them ignore them.
1.Which persons of history to you admire?
2.What is it that you don't like about people?
3.Which is your best quality?
4. And which is your worst defect?
5.Which qualities are to most important ones to you in a woman? And why? And in a man? And why?
Till I hear back from you soonest. Warm hugs, J.
I feel highly overwhelmed this very night after I read your lovely mail composed with warm words. I just can't understand why this sudden change of mood in my life. I feel very refreshing and relief for short. My day has been good, much better even reading from you sweet words. Work at the base was fine and after taking in my supper I stayed in my room quietly checking on you my dear.
My work usually starts early in the morning spending the vast majority of my time sitting in the office and going for meetings. etc.. Although I've managed to find myself on a few random patrols which has kept me from danger , ha ! Working hours usually depends on the day in question, far different from how you work daily on a 8hr duration.
I just can't resist this sweet strong feeling I'm having now... I thank you for making me feel this way, its really been long ever since I felt this way sweetie.
I'm glad you like my pictures, I would be more happier if you send me some of you too. Now talking about Jack, I don't really know what specifically he was suffering from that lead to his death. On Retirement I think I will go in for a new one and then maybe fishing as you suggested but this will not be fully participated without you. We will be fishing together, are you very good at it? If Yes then I need not to worry at all since you are going to be the perfect teacher to my new upcoming adventure. hmmmmmm smiles ~~
Wishing you to a nice evening. Goodnight and sweet dreams. Remember I'm always here thinking about you. Hugs & Kisses, Jason. Based on how choppy this letter is, it appears he copied and pasted a lot of small pieces together, and tried to fill in the gaps. It is very clear that English is NOT his first language.
My Dearest ,
I am just lying here, looking at your pictures, wishing for the day you and I meet, hoping and praying to God that our lord brings us together expediently. Copied from lovingyou.com here: http://www.lovingyou.com/content/inspiration/loveletters-content.php?ID=645 After so many years you still make my heart flutter. (also copied, but more importantly, makes absolutely no sense since he's known this person for less than a year.)
Since day one we've shared something incredible, something that most people only dream of. I had been searching for you all of my life. You have made me the happiest I have ever been. You are sincere, caring, loving woman, and I wouldn't trade you for the world. Also copied from lovingyou.com : http://www.lovingyou.com/content/inspiration/loveletters-content.php?ID=870
There is something I want to share with you, as I really trust and believe in you sweetie. I hope I can confide in you ?
“Name” (I'm not sure if this is how it was written when he sent it to his target. If so, it shows that he was careless and forgot to put the victim's name in. He uses this script again and again, and is supposed to put the name of his victim in the quotes) , I am in love with you; I open my heart to you. I ask that you take my heart and treat it as if it is your own. Together we're perfect, and I will enjoy spending the rest of my life with you. I love you more than words can say. All my love,
