Hello! This is my first post. I'm a junior at a university and I was looking for (better) jobs to apply for. I applied for a business analyst job at the university job listing site, which required a resume. The job description (which I sadly do not have anymore, as I notified the admins at the website and they removed it) seemed legit until I got an e-mail a few days later.

noblecorps.com is an email-only domain. Please post the complete headers of the email from noblecorps.com so that we can kill it. If you sent an email to the domain between the two emails from the domain, post the email you sent, with complete headers, and the complete headers of the second email.

The email was written by an African. The job consists of laundering money sent overseas, probably to West Africa.

Its a fake check . Call FedEx fraud department to come pick it up . Don't cash or deposit it . If fedex doesn't want it call the postal inspectors .

Also be prepared for the fact that these cockroaches may start threatening you as they have done to other victims in the Past . Ignore these threats .

Ignore all messages from the scammer. Do not give him any clue that you know it's a scam. Don't tell him you quit. Don't give him any clue that you still exist.

The person in the Philippines is a mule, or the scammer has bribed MoneyGram to give him the money even though he's not in the Philippines. We know for certain that the scammer is in Nigeria.

If Fedex does not pick up the check, bring it in the envelope to Fedex, along with printouts of the emails. The postal inspector deals with things sent through US Mail. The person who sent it thinks he has a job sending payroll checks, but is another victim of the scammer. The account used to send it is known to Fedex, not US Mail, and may be paid for with stolen credit cards.

I've been in contact with a company, Hasco Oil (a real company), the last few days and the emails are almost identical to what was posted below. These guys are now using Angel List (for start-ups) to try and scam people. I'm copying the emails I received (with personal information removed):
