Hi,

Thank you for your interest in the Personal Assistant position recently
announced by our company. We apologize for the delay with the reply: the
staffing company we entrusted with the search for our prospective employees
proved to be inefficient, and their recruiting methods appear to be
questionable, and we apologize for any inconvenience!

My Personal Assistant, Inc. is a certified virtual assistant company with
a head office based in United States. Our UK office is scheduled for opening in
London this summer, and we have started hiring first employees who will start
working for the company remotely, with a prospective to get relocated to London
or establish new My Personal Assistant offices in their cities.

Position Duties

Our Personal Assistants do NOT sell anything, advertise or actually pick up
groceries or laundry for the clients. We offer virtual services for individuals,
businesses and especially disabled persons, who are in need of assistance. As a
Personal Assistant your typical tasks will include the following:

- Managing email correspondence: sorting, prioritizing and forwarding
messages;
- Finding and ordering products and services online;
- Booking travel, scheduling apointments, making reservations;
- Conducting Internet research on places, services, products;
- Transcribing voice/video recordings, composing comparison reports;
- Assisting with billing, sending out payments, delivering bills.

Work Hours and Daily Routine

We offer both full-time and part-time shifts, starting at 9am GMT, Monday to
Friday. As the person in this position will be working from home, they will need
to have a computer with an active Internet connection; however, no special
software is required for purchasing, only standard office programs and a web
browser. Your day will start with logging into our online dashboard: usually you
are given a list of tasks every day. By the end of the day you must prepare a
short report on the completed tasks and send it to your supervisor through the
online dashboard. A supervisor will call Personal Assistants and monitor their
activities during the day, that's why it's essential to stay online and be
available on the phone during regular working hours. We also offer a short
online training course for free.

Pay and Benefits

We offer a base pay of BJ20,000 per year paid monthly since your start date. In
addition to the guaranteed fixed salary we also offer a system of incentive
bonuses based on your individual performance and clients' feedback. In other
words, if you meet deadlines, assist multiple customers and they are satisfied
with your services, your average pay per month will be around BJ3,000. Personal
Assistants working in the USA usually double their base salary with bonuses.

To apply for this position, please reply to this email, and I will follow up
with the employment documentation package for your review. Please note that
neither our company, nor our affiliates ever demand any entry fees, investments
or other payments in order to ensure the employment!

Best regards,
Linda Kravitz

Good morning,

And my apologies for not getting back to you earlier: as a Junior Partner on the council I'm responsible for establishing our local office in London, so I'm travelling a lot. You will find our standard employment package in the attachment to this message: please take your time to read it, as it has detailed information on the position duties, pay, schedule, etc. Additional information about the company can be found at our website: www.mypersonalassistantinuk.com.

Just to remind you, there are 2 work shift options: you can work either part-time, or full-time; the work hours are listed in the Employment Agreement along with position duties. Being a work-from-home job, this opportunity will NOT require you to relocate to London; it will also allow you to manage your time efficiently while setting priorities for your daily duties yourself. We do not work on weekends and UK holidays, sick days are also covered by the company.

The starting monthly salary is 1,670 GBP for for part-time and 3,340 GBP for full-time, and this is a guaranteed monthly salary, not commission-based. Please note that you will be receiving salary from our US corporate account, which is why we request the banking information in the international format: a sort code of your bank an a short account number won't be acceptable. Also, until June, when our London office starts functioning, you will be working on a self-employed basis, which means that it will be your responsibility to make deductions for your PAYE/NICs from your salary.

Finally, the training: it's carried out online and takes a couple of days. I will supply you with the guides and manuals to read, explain our general procedures, and in less than 2 days you will be ready for your first clients. We'll start with a single client to get you a better understanding of the job, and then we'll see if you can multitask. I have also added a list of typical assignments for Personal Assistant to this message.

In order to proceed, please print out the Employment Agreement and the Financial Form, sign them and email back to me. If you have questions, please feel free to send them to me, plus I will be calling you after reviewing your paperwork to continue with the employment. We're looking for people who can start working with us ASAP, as we have already got a number of clients in the UK and are in need of helping hands.

well, this was the best offer of a job I've had in a while! printed off all the forms and upon doing further research, opted not to give out further personal details! What can I do to report or complain to whoever about this site??
#197025 by TerranceBoyce Wed Apr 09, 2014 11:12 pm
A silly basic and glaring error in the terms and conditions, which I won't detail so that they can keep making it.

Scammers tend to copy and paste t & c's without any real understanding what they mean and what they're doing.

I am one of the stupid ones, I mean really stupid. I fell for this and gave my personal details including my bank details. I was really, I guess just dreaming that it would be nice to have all this extra money coming in but I bet they are laughing at my gullibility.
I only just discovered this morning when the bank rang and confirmed that this company had in fact made a fraudulent transaction in to my account and now Halifax are after the money. Bank threatened to close my account. I feel like such a fool. Where do I go from here? What do I do about my account details etc. Has anyone actually spoken to this Linda Kravitz as I have and I am more so determined to pass on her contact details.
#199180 by AlanJones Mon Apr 28, 2014 8:58 am
Linda Kravitz does not exist and any details you have for her will be fake.

I'm assuming from what you say that you received the money and then withdrew it and sent it on. If this is the case then I am afraid that your bank are going to debit the money from your account and return it to where it was stolen from - even if this leaves you with an unauthorised overdraft. At the very least, you are going to end up with a ruined credit history - possibly a fraud marker on your history as well.

You need to explain everything to your bank and also report the fraud to the police.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
#199256 by Lorettacritchett Mon Apr 28, 2014 3:43 pm
Well my credit is already ruined! through my own fault. However I have informed my bank already and asked them what would happen. they said they would inform Halifax of the situation and next time they would shut my account down. I was not told any money would be out of my account.
#199258 by AlanJones Mon Apr 28, 2014 4:01 pm
The defrauded Halifax customer, and neither the Halifax or your bank are going to be willing to take the hit on the money that was fraudulently put in your account, so it's highly likely that it will be reversed from your account.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Hi,

I have today found out that I have been the victim of this scam, having had my bank account frozen.

I am meeting with my bank today to provide all of my emails, employment contracts etc to try and have my account reactivated.

I have also reported the fraud and got a crime reference number.

There was a total of 3 transactions paid into my account. 2 cleared and 1 was stopped before it was paid in.

Am I right to think that I will be responsible for paying back the first 2 that cleared? What about the 3rd transaction which never actually reached me?

Any advice you can give is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Gemma
