Ladies, me to!
I am a German housewife, got a letter from "Sgt. Richard Jefferson". This was also his facebook profile. (you can look!) The next mails he changed to "Sgt. Richard Wilson", and when I recognized, that the nameplate at his uniform jacket is "Butterfield", he changed to "Butterfield".

One week we wrote. He told me from his 11year old son named Edwards, living in Australia with hith Grandparents. And I should pay a "Army Intercom account activate" to phone him. 435 USD.

My friend, my husband and me noticed, that some thing must be wrong. What should we do? This "Sir" has also a Facebook-profile under "Major Joe Butterfield".

I was at the first three days so blue because of this poor lonesome child in Australia, I've written this child. And I feel ashamed, that I could be so stupid.

Please take care. Many ladies do not have such a well understanding and intelligent husband like me and feel perhaps lonesome. I was only lucky.

But: who is this "Mr. Butterfield" in real? Such a handsome guy.

Hope that I could warn some of the ladies. Reach me under <removed> if you want. I would like to do a indicator report, to whom it may concern.

hi i am new to this site. i was contacted on a dating site called "tagged" by a man claiming to be sergeant richard jefferson. i grew suspisious because in his e mails and messages he didnt sound like an american so i looked on google for military dating scams and low and behold i came across the same man. below is part ov his e mail and also a picture of him hope this is some use to some one, i think it is disgusting to pretend to be some one who is serving there country.

hi i was messaged on a internet dating site called "tagged" by someone claiming to be a sergeant in the us army. straight away i got suspicious because of the way he wrote in his messages and e-mails. for some one born and bread in usa he didnt have very good use of the english language. i ch4ecked your site and low and behold i found him on here using the exact same messages. i contacted tagged and he has now been deleted. i will post his e-mail address and one of his messages to you...hope it helps

It's getting more interesting writing you..it's kinda hot out here..i mean real hot lol.. I am a medical doctor here and there is allot to do here.. I joined the military because i want to help my country..

I love sitting close together to talk, watch a movie or just enjoy the quiet.. touching and holding hands are awesome. making dinner together, doing the dishes together, this is just a few things i find are a turn on. long talks, long walks, these are ways of building a close relationship. do you think I'm being snappy?

I love being close, but i do enjoy my time, i have no problem with that, hunting or whatever she enjoys doing. so, while i love couple time together, i also know that even couples need their own time...

What makes me sad....a lot. people who take love for granted. people who pass up a good thing, or blame the next person who happens to be good for the bad that happened in their past, people who are abusive to anyone or thing. when someone hurts a child. when someone isn't honest. when someone waste my time by lying. just tell me the truth how is that hard?

I have definitely had my ups and downs with relationships as well, but you have to go through the bad to get to the good.....right??? As for dating I do date on occasion but haven't really found anyone I click with, either I am interested in them and they aren't in me, vise versa, or none of the above. I don't hide my personality.. i have met a lot of women who after knowing each other for 2weeks i find out they aren't being plain or straight forward, some even go to the extent of having more beside the relationship.
Really i have more questions but I'll ask them later, meeting people this way is scary for me because you don't know their intentions or if she will be sincere about being with you or trying to get into your life and turn it upside down.I do love romance and all that goes along with it...my idea of a dream home is a log cabin on the side of a mountain. with a lake, big stone fore place to sit in front of to watch movies or just sit in the quiet and enjoy it. i love candles, everywhere.

Hi ppl , I'm new on here as I was checking on someone I was approached by on Tagged.com and seems he is still going, he is going under the name of joe butterfield on there and saying he is a major who has just been deployed 2 weeks ago to central Africa, apparently he has 3 kids as I had only just started talking to him don't have that much information, his yahoo address is majorjoebutterfield@yahoo.com and I have a cell number from him too.Glad I looked him up although already had a feeling he wasn't true. The story the scammer is telling you is cookie cutter scammer script. If you are still talking to the scammer, drop all contact. Just disappear because all he wants is your money.

The Butterfield scammer is definitely keeping busy as Mike Butterfield, whose "wife had an affair and had a baby by the man; he hasn't seen his 2 children Terry 6 & James 3 for a year now" for someone supposedly a Sergeant in the US Army, he couldn't spell or string a proper sentence together which was the reason I was so suspicious. On Facebook he also has a profile as Benard Butterfield (Polish!!!) I'm glad this site is here and some of us are lucky enough to be one step head of these low lifes!
