Message from our Director

Well, that flew by! Christmas is already over for a New Year and here in Hong Kong at least, both locals and expatriates are heading back to work.

As an provider of Offshore Accountancy Solutions, this is without a doubt our busiest month, whether it be an individual looking to establish best practices for the year ahead or a major multinational trying to lighten the tax burden come April 15 of this year.

As well as being the busiest time, it is also the most complex. As a firm operating in a multitude of geographic regions and markets we must be fully aware of new accountancy legislation introduced from January 1. With this in mind, all our clients benefit from extensive and ongoing training and development programs for all staff members, and our close ties with onshore partners enables us to be at the forefront of any major development.

With oil prices falling 50% recently and as the knock-on effect takes hold, this time of the year is especially crucial to ensure that every aspect of both corporate and personal accounting is up to date. Dramatic price changes such as these are difficult to calculate and it can leave a scenario where drastic measures need to be taken towards the end of the quarter. In other words, proper preparation prevents costly last minute alterations.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish Christine Lim all the very best from everybody here at Asia Pacific Group Ltd. After 5 years as a Senior Partner of this firm, Christine will be moving to New York to further develop our presence in the United States as we continue our ambition to become a global force in Corporate, Personal and Forensic Accounting.
