Philip Grey is the founder and CEO of Philip Grey Gallery. He was born 1965 in Norway but later grew up in the United States. Philip Grey started his own gallery after over Fourteen years, where he was International Director and Contemporary Art in Europe, and two years as a Director of Art Gallery in the states. As Head of Department Philip played a major role in the huge growth of the 20th century and contemporary art market in Europe, helping to make Liverpool a world-class exhibition and selling site. Philip also brought to auction Francis Bacon's Triptych, which sold for millions of pounds, making it the most expensive work of art ever sold as at then and the most valuable contemporary work sold in Europe.

Well he painted 28 triptychs, but I think the one you are talking about, of Lucien Freud, was sold by Sotheby's in 2011, and it wasn't "millions of pounds" it was £23 million.

Scott Adams: “Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep”
