Ghana Scam!!!!

Please can you help me shut down a scam from the email adress [email protected]?? it is a Gahna romance scam and my friend is in way over his head and keeps sending money!! I have contacted the Accc but this email adress is a scam!! I dont know what else to do to convince my friend to stop sending her money!!

Hi Lucythorne and welcome to the Scamwarners site. Can you get your friend to look at some of the posts on here? Maybe you can find something similar to what he is doing. I am a former victim- while you're in the middle of it and feeling so in love and cared about, you really don't want to listen to people who know better. You want to believe that person online is telling you the truth and you want to do everything you can to help them. This is a scammer's job- make the victim feel loved and appreciated like no one else has done before. If you want to post more specifics, if your friend will tell you, any of the mods or one of us regulars can help show the patterns, get the IP address to show the details of where the person is, show your friend enough details to understand this is a scam. Unfortunately, closing down the email address will do nothing. If you friend has sent money, the scammer has saved his information. All the scammer will do is email your friend from another address, claiming the old one was hacked or something along those lines.

Of course there most likely is no "her" at all. The scammer is most likely a young African male.

If you can do an image search and find the source of the photos, you may have better luck in getting your friend to take notice of scammers.
