Thank you Terminator, I would change my number but I am in the process of looking for a better position in my employment. I have applied to hundreds of jobs so they have my number scared I will miss something. I will just keep blocking the un-known numbers.

Thanks

Update I have blocked both numbers...and nothing more as of yet. We will see if they try again tomorrow...

For those still nervous...I am rather sure its a scam because they are asking to be compensated for it..no family who has had someone talking to their minor has asked for compensation..especially via Green do or western union....to fix a broken laptop? A father mad about his daughter would not care about money for a laptop...

Hopefully everyone has filed IC3 or Police reports . I know it's embarrassing , but if victims don't Report IT , nothing will get done .

Question: Can you file a police report even though they never asked for money? I was just told by the "detective" that I needed to call the father which I refused.

Stop all contact with these people.

Change your phone number.

A real police officer would not tell you to contact the father.

I've done all that. I've told my story on here a week or so ago. I was just wondering if I could file a report with the police even though I was never asked for money?

Met a girl on POF said she was 19

Terms of Service of POF are no one under age 18 is allowed .

she sent some back. Caught one with a watermark on it and called her on it

she takes them for a website and they pay her

These are stolen photographs .

She then tells me she's actually 16 but to not tell the authorities that she takes those pics for the website

Its part of the Scam and par for the course .

I get a call from a South Carolina number 3 times in like 5 minutes. I don't answer but look up the number and it's the number of the Hook, County police department.

This also is par for the course . They work on Fear and Intimidation .

Just talked to a guy. He is using the name of an on duty office and the phone number of the police department. He said that I need to talk to the girls father. I told him no and asked for his badge number and he got really defensive.

Because he is a fake . Probably some ugly hairy mugu sitting in a Lagos , Nigeria , Cyber Cafe

I called the dispatch and they said they would tell him to call me back and it would be on a blocked number but it was on the police department number when he called back so I'm still a little worried.

When you called they don't know who you are . File a report HERE :

Yes you should file a report even though they didn't ask you for money .This is the same scam . At worst they can say we don't want your report . At best you could be saving someones life . Let them decide if they want to accept it . We expect 100% of the victims who come here to file reports .

So I reply to a CL ad for someone visiting from out of state and looking for some fun while here. Ad says he's 18. I send a message and he replies with a number. We text, he asks what I am into, he sends me a video of him jerking off. He says he is interested in getting together but has to wait til his mom falls asleep so he can take the car. He latter texts me that he is ready to leave, I send my address and he says he is on the way. I don't hear from him for a while, and he doesn't reply back to my texts. The next day I get a call from the same number saying that its his father and that the kid was in a car accident leaving to meet me. Says his son is underage and I should call him or he will go to the police. I call the number, the father answers son is ok, in hospital with whiplash but damaged the mother's car. Doesn't want to go to the police since he didn't know son was gay and they're Christian people and don't want to embarrass the family. But he cant afford to fix the car and is willing to split the cost with me. He wont go to cops if I help him out. Says damage is $2400. I am not exactly naive, and this smells of a scam. The kid NEVER told me he was underage. I cant afford the embarrassment of dealing with the cops over something like this but I don't know what to do.
