You have not committed any crime.

You will be reporting it to Law Enforcement (IC3)

If crimes are never reported there would be no need for the judicial system or jails/prisons.

Think of it this way. What if no one reported these crimes to forums? Where would you be now?

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

If this is 100% a scam, I would love to hand over anything that can trace back to those assholes. Also, if there's anyone who's been through this and months or years have gone by, I would love to hear some feedback on how to get past this overwhelming fear.

As embarrassing as it will be , reporting this crime will ease your fears and help put these cockroaches out of business . Report It . Can you please post a link to fake profile so we can look at it ?

These are the unknown numbers that have contacted me...

+1-843-714-1798
+1-512-202-7814 (this is the number where I made actual voice contact with asshole)
+1-978-296-9589
+1-210-347-7241
+1-210-347-5682

I have blocked all contact with these numbers. If anyone can look them up to see what they're about. I prefer not to have all those ugly feelings brought up. The forum has helped me calm down and put me at east. However, I'm still worried but I'm sure in time the feeling will dissipate. I hope. Thank you all for what you do in trying to find these bastards.

Registered in Andover, MA
Non Fixed Voip phone number
e.g. Skype or Google Voice

(843) 714-1798

Did you actually call this number and talk to the cockroach ?
(512) 202-7814
Registered in Austin, TX

As you can see the numbers are from 3 different states and one of them is a Google Voice Number and research shows it was previously used in telephone scams . This alone should demonstrate that this is 1000% Scam . You really need to report it .

Blackmail Scams/Sextortion Scams.

There are various types of these scams. I will explain a few.

Many Social Media Sites such as Skype, Kik, Facebook, Pof, Craigslist, okcupid. Badoo and Chatroulette are a home for Scammers and Thieves to use to scam by using threats of fear and/or criminal charges.

This scam involves 'grooming' a potential victim into sending compromising photographs/video to the scammer - In some scams the scammer/thief will, initially, send compromising pictures which he/she will say are of him/her -- these will be stolen from elsewhere

Types of blackmail/sextortion scams:

Threatening to send your images to your Facebook friends and family.

Scammer will meet you on a social media site and ask to exchange compromising images. He may have asked prior or will ask later to be added to your Facebook account.

Now the scam begins. He will tell you to send money via Moneygram, Western Union, Amazon gift card, Prepaid scratch off card or any other untraceable method to him.

He will tell you if you do not comply he will send the photo’s to your Facebook friends list.

Another version of this scam is Under Age girls/boys.

The scammer will meet you again on a social media site. He/she will tell you they are over the age of 18. As you progress communicating with this person/scammer he will ask to exchange indecent photographs/video.

After you exchange photo’s you will be contacted by the scammers fake "Father" or "Mother". They will tell you that you sent pictures to an under age girl/boy. They will want you to send money for therapy or for them not to go to the police. In some cases the scammer has contacted victim pretending to be Law Enforcement, possibly going as far as to spoof the number of a real local Law Enforcement department to make it appear that they are calling.

There are also seen cases where a scammer pretends to an online agent looking for pedophiles. This scam is using the same payment methods mentioned above. The Scammer will tell you that if you pay them they will not report it.

Recommended Actions:

It is best to stop all contact with the scammers. Ignore his calls and messages.

Ignore all demands for money. If you pay the scammer he will continue to blackmail you. You will only stop paying when you go broke or realize you are being scammed.

Deactivate your Facebook account for two weeks. Change your photo or avatar when you reactivate it or get a new one. Also change your user name. Do not accept requests from anyone you have never met.

Do the above for all social media and Skype.

You may have to change your phone numbers.

File a report with your local law enforcement agency and to one of the following below if possible.

I sent intimate photos/video to my scammer or he says he recorded my activities on webcam, and now he is threatening to publish them. What can I do?
Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. The only advice we can give you is not to give in to blackmail demands, and once again, cut off ALL contact with the scammer. If he cannot reach you, he cannot blackmail you. If he knows that he has power over you, he will continue to abuse that power and demand more and more money. He may promise to destroy the photos/video, but remember he is a liar and a thief, and his promises are worth nothing.

The truth is, in most cases the scammer will not follow through with this threat, because following through will cost him time and money. If he tries to post anything pornographic, most public sites would delete it anyway. In the unlikely event that he does post something, you need to be proactive and contact the site immediately to have it removed. Depending on the threats, you may want to file a report with law enforcement.

Just remember for the future that any photo or video you give to ANYONE is out of your control, and anything you do on webcam can be recorded. This particular issue is not exclusive to scammers - the internet is full of stories of angry people who posted intimate details or photos/video of ex-partners after a relationship ended badly.

If you sent or received nudes knowing or believing that you were communicating with a minor the above does not apply to you.

In this situation, we are not willing/nor will assist you.

Notably, the legal definition of sexually explicit conduct does not require that an image depict a child engaging in sexual activity. A picture of a naked child may constitute illegal child pornography if it is sufficiently sexually suggestive. Additionally, the age of consent for sexual activity in a given state is irrelevant; any depiction of a minor under 18 years of age engaging in sexually explicit conduct is illegal.

The 512 number is where I would talk to that person. The 210-347-____ are numbers I've received before in the past and could be telemarketers. If there is a name or address connected to the austin please post and I will go to the police asap for blackmail.
#334603 by Terminator5 Fri Jul 21, 2017 10:15 am
Even if we did search that number in an online database and a name came up, it doesn't necessarily mean anything .

{A} Your Scammer could be using caller id spoofing and spoofed that number .

{B} The Name listed in that database could be a former owner of that number . Cell phone numbers do cycle through changes .

This is why you need to REPORT IT , and let the professionals do the investigating . The forum thread here is setup so people can recognize it as a scam and REPORT IT . Your request is outside the scope of what we do here .

Got another call from a 210-347-_____ number again today. I ignored it. Waited for a voicemail (none) then blocked the number. I never got any sheriff calls or FBI agents calling. Then again, I did fall for it and give a small payment in the beginning possibly avoiding having those kind of calls to my number. As for text messages or any kind of random messages or requests on other outlets, I haven't received none. They call more or less around the same time each day. 10:45-11a.

The more the days pass, the more I believe this is 100% a scam. I've been reading the other posts and find some comfort in people who reply months later saying things are okay and that they have yet to receive any more random calls or messages since they've either changed numbers or simply ignored the calls.

To the future people who may get caught in this later, protect yourself immediately and don't let these scumbags get the upper hand on you. Report it!!! IF it helps to get comfort by going to local law enforcement for advice, i'd say do it. People like this have no morals and are playing with a subject that has caused peopled to take their lives over something so stupid. I will remain vigilant in giving more information if it comes about. I want to check in over time to let other readers know that the world isn't going to end. That this IS a scam. And that there's nothing to fear. These threads are here to inform and educate the victims. DO NOT share or inform the scammers of these topics bc they will try and change their scheme.

Thank you to scamwarners.com for all the information you have provided. The service you have provided has calmed me down and helped me realize that I should not play along with these people and that dating is a thing you do IN PERSON.

So my story begins on Skout! Profile of a pretty girl, 21, who I think I contacted first but truly can't remember. She said she would like to chat later at around midnight. I am dumb enough to not think anything about this. I gave her my number. She texts me around 11:17pm. We chat and pics were exchanged. Sexual content took place and one of her pics was kind of a side pic with maybe a little side boob. Mine of course included my manhood. So this took place for about an hour off an on. At one point I received a message that looked like "Hi this is Kr." That was it. I asked her how many people she was chatting with but she said just you baby. Well I stopped after awhile and fell asleep. The next day I get a text stating that this, the fathers name, and that he was pissed I was sexting with his underage daughter who is 16 almost 17. And that I needed to contact him because his wife called him home and had thrown the phone through there TV. I got a picture of the TV with a huge crack in it. He stated that we could figure this out if I paid half of his $2200 dollar TV. Of course I freaked out and replied my apologies that her profile said 21 on her profile. I wouldn't ever do this with an underage person. I have since had a private investigator contact me saying he is glad I didn't pay and doesn't want me to pay but will hunt me down. When this gets into your head you start to question what happened. I would never pursue this conversation but there are thoughts in my head that I overlooked a message stating her age. I never saw it! Freaking out for three days on Xanax awaiting to go to jail and be listed as a sexual offender. The thought of losing everything over this unbearable.

Her number: 8649529595
Other number: 8644097204 (Non Fixed Void Line)

Another quick post. The knowing I no longer have the profile or short conversation from Skout is unnerving. Not sure how but my iPad lost a few conversations I was having. And I deleted the text conversation not thinking anything of or that this would happen and I might need it. So basically I have no documentation on my end. But anxiety kicked up again after realizing I have no way to connect Kristin 1 to my text where I asked if it was Kristin 21 from Skout.

I can't thank you enough Bryon for having this forum so people, especially ones with higher anxiety like myself, can learn to move on and try to get their life back together. Not having the pictures to trace and see who they are actually of was killing me. You get a sense of being a criminal for possessing "child pornography." Even when a small part of your brain tells you that the pics were pulled from online.

If you change your number. Do not make it public or put it on social media. Do not tie it with Facebook.

Keep your personal information private.

Social media has allowed people to relax and not to protect their data, pictures and etc.
