This is a well documented scam . On the pages of this blog and on many other resources on the internet . These are FAKE profiles using stolen photos . You need to understand this and REPORT IT . Change your phone number and Deactivate your online social media profiles .

I deleted all of my photos and text from him already. I did get a text this morning saying he was at work and his wife wants to know if I deposited money. This was still through his daughters phone. I'm no longer going to contact him and have blocked his number.

Today, September 16th 2016 I received a Sir text about sending nudes to a 15 yr old who's profile was on POF as 21 yr. the same number as above 843-925-0255 called being the father of the child saying their son was put in a mental ward for attempting suicide and that they had to put their mortgage up so there child could go to psych. Asked for 1100$ so they could get their mortgage Back. Said his "wife" would be home for them to discuss what to do next. I googled the number and it brought me to this site. I blocked the number and deleted my POF!

Hi, I think I may have been a victim of a scam.

I was on a chat room for adults and I had talked to a female. She wanted to be intimate on the phone and has asked me to come on cam and that she wanted to see my "personal" area. I was feeling confident so I did. She asked me a few questions and I asked her how old she was, she then told me she wasn't 18. I was shocked and I froze and then she hung up. I was then contacted by someone claiming to be a law enforcement agent. They essentially offered me a "contractual agreement" and that I have to pay money if I don't want to go to prison. I did money but now they want an extra 500$ because essentially, I just had too.

You need to report this on the IC3 website and don't pay them any more money .

Had the same thing happen to me Saturday/Sunday. Messaging with a girl on POF. Said she was over 18. Tells me to text because the site was draining her phone. She then starts texting me pictures, one semi nude. I sent 2 pictures but neither was explicit in any way. She then says she's 17 and I cut off the conversation. Sunday morning I get a call from the supposed "Dad" telling me that he has to put his daughter on a plane to South Carolina and her mother wants to press charges but he'll give me a way out if I pay 1646.00 to cover his daughters counseling and to send the money to his brother a Tyler Brannon in SC via MoneyGram or Western Union. I wasn't aware this was a scam and I completely freaked out so I paid $1100 and he told me he'd be in touch. I've now blocked all incoming calls that aren't in my contacts and blocked the number he called from. I plan on changing my number today. What else can I do?

Yes - do change your number. Ignore any further attempts by them to contact you. Make sure to give as much information to the IC3 as you can. All of the phone numbers, information of the people that you sent money to, everything you can. The more information victims report, the better the chances that these jerks will be caught.

Sorry this happened to you, but now you know what these scams are and hopefully won't find yourself in this situation again.
