Great!
Crispy, you're a genius. You're entitled to that $10M - I see part of it in that cute photo of yours. Lucky Duck. Thank You. Steve

Beautiful, thank you very much. It works just fine. But I'm no closer to the 'truth'. Anyway, it's another feather to the quiver! Steve

I knew that all along of course, I would have posted more descriptive instructions earlier except for having guests

Steve you mentioned that you are no closer to knowing the truth, from the research in my earlier post which happens to contain both the names you mentioned as well as an amount of money which is a little over $10 Mil are the emial addresses in that email the same as the person who contacted you, if so then that provides absolute proof that it is a scam without the theory of "if it quacks like a duck" (sorry Crispy  ) which shows every indication of a scam.

When you post in the header tool you can also click on some of the other options, have a go and you may be surprised what you will see, one thing of interest is the urgent message tab which shows a list of other listed scams that have been sent from the same IP address

I presume the IP was the same as the IP in this search result which is actually showing France

80.12.0.0 France (Rennes)*

That certainly is possible but it doesn't follow the usual trend, scammers do sometimes use proxies which may be the case here and make a little more sense but we cant rule out French based scammers either as we do know that scammers come from all parts of the world, except Antarctica alledgedly but I wont guarentee that either

Thanks Ranlph, you're right, yes, actually it is the truth that this is a scam. I was only 'thinking' in terms of the strategy, and it does appear that France was the source from the beginning because of all the reasons you offer. I suspect Mercier is behind it all. Maybe they operate like the porn rings, where there are only a few main 'pipelines', and a lot of feeders into them. After all, the template letters used in these type of scams look as though written by one person. The AIDS Conference one is letter-perfect, pointing to a native english speaker/writer. The initial letters I got from Bamba appeared to be typed by different people, a template with 'add ins', even in one case, different font/type size when my replies were answered, specific to me. All very interesting. I followed thru on this one out of curiosity and now I'm satisfied.

Hmm, now I just gotta figure out how to spend my $10M! Any ideas?
;-)))

Good wishes to you all, thanks for taking an interest and showing me a few of the ropes. you can be sure I'll pass-on what I learn.

I'm pretty sure the answer's in the soil.
