I am a new member of scamwarners, but i believe i am being scammed by a US Military Personnel Scammer, have read lots about it from the forums on scamwarners website, i have had loads of emails and documents from him and would like to save them to a file on my computer so that i have copies of them if i need them in the futrue (so that i can delete them from my mail folders as they are taking up a lot of space), but i don't know how to do this would be very grateful if you could give me instructions on how to do this, i use BT yahoo mail with internet explorer, pity i didn't see this website before i was scammed of a few thousand pounds, reason i was scammed is that i didn't know much about US Army leave procedure and i obviously thought what i was being told was the truth, but it is only now that i am starting to question this.

Welcome to Scamwarners fishtank and I'm sorry to hear your story, but be in no doubt that this is a scam.

As you correctly mention, leave is not something that any person apart from the soldier can influence and payment is not involved in any form.

This is the US army CID comment on this type of scam

It's too late now but it wouldn't be safe to believe you're dealing with any soldier unless he sends you a mail from his posting abroad, and if he has access to the internet he's lying if he says he can't send mail. If he won't send you a mail then his commitment is not worth anything. Only a scammer wants something for nothing.

In reality a US soldier has access to his account in the USA so any money you send him ought to go to his US bank account. Scammers only specify Western Union because they can get hold of the money wherever they are based, which won't be Iraq or Afghanistan.

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer
