I need to share my story. I have been in touch with a scammer. It all starts by me registered at dating app for women. I have matched with this beautiful woman Mary, we chat a little in app and later that day moved our texting to WhatsApp. Is has typical scamming scenario from now.
She claims to be military contractor (IT specialist) she even sent me pictures in her in uniform, and how she is working out. At first I didnt care about work, i want something completely different. But we text to each other every mornig 2hrs and again evening 2hrs. I think she uses airplane mode for her "working time" and "sleeping time". I ask her milion questions about army. The answers were beliveable.
And than, of course, she supposted to receive a large sum of cash and she needs to send it from Turkey and start investing in new business (mine) and live finally non-military life (with me). All that love crap you usually see writen on your screen. She sent me some military HR documents about the transaction and it did not look real at all. I searched some info from this official letter. Adress, phone numbers, her military number, her name. Nothing pointed to military object or some other confirmation that all this is real. I pass this without comment, keep conversation on same "get to know each other better" vibe. She was sending me all this fotos of hers, and add more story about them. It looks real to me. But compensation day happend. I gave her my email, and "Diplomatic courrier system" contact me with an email: "We have for you 44pound package with 1000euro insurance, expensice contend." (not exact words) No name, tracking number, nothing. They even attached some facture. I searched the Courier Company. Nothing. In this moment I searched some scamming info on internet and stopped every contact, no other word, BLOCK. Then severel different fake numbers tryed to call me, but I didnt pick up, and block imiadately. All phone numbers, all profiles, all email adresses, I reported and blocked. She even send me 2 paid text msg saying, how she hates me, how i ruined her life. and second one wishing me safe trip to Belgium.
ALL THIS HAPPENED DURING A SINGLE WEEK. YES, 7 DAYS.
We even try to videochat for a minute, but of course security alert, she was punished, bla bla bla. I didnt see anything from that video call. ALWAYS RED FLAG!!!
But still....It is cruel to play this fraud game on field of love. You know the girl on pictures was really good looking, and her fake personality was really tempting. For a single minute I imagine myself to be with her. Shame on me to be a fool. Do you think that i can ever find that original person from foto? I google image search and nothing came back. I want contact her about this identity theft.
