IP = 174.142.36.146 (Netherlands) and 174.142.36.146 (Montreal) (very strange there...maybe two or more people involved, or some very fancy I.T. work which is beyond my decent skills. Regardless, these scammers are getting smarter with their tactics!)

As for the IP addresses, it is possible the scammer is in those locations but it is highly unlikely, many of them have learnt how to manipulate their IP address, if you would like to forward the header to the email address in my signature line I can show you what to look for.

I was lucky to find out early, but that has a lot to do with me simply using my head with the whole internet dating scheme of things.

In regards to the IP addresses, given the nature of these particular IP's and the information i found out about those particular IP's, i think that there is a growing number of scammer networks being formed and rip people off. By this, i mean that these scammers may be starting to work together (very complicated, but then wouldn't trying to scam so many people at once be complicated as well, i figure?)

Yes, i'm aware of the abilities to manipulate IP's - I can assure you that there is no additional information in the headers of the emails, as I have more then enough knowledge to confirm it

Could you do me a favour and take a look at the header for this "NNFMP", it is something yahoo use to denote an IP associated with scams and spam, in most cases it means the IP has been faked using a known IP, it is quite common in scam emails.

No luck there with NNMP in the header of any of the emails I have received, sorry!

Thats what I thought too, about the locations. You're right, anything is possible - i know i could make myself appear anywhere in the world if i wanted to, and make it difficult to trace. But I'm not a thieving crook like these people.
