A man named Innocent who became a 'cash mule' for a gang of internet fraudsters who stole tens of thousands of pounds from their victim's bank account has been jailed for eight months.

A person may act as a money mule in all innocence and that's what a criminal will always claim. The risk is always that the claims of an innocent individual won't be believed by the jury, in which case a jail sentence is quite possible, which is why it is important for people to be able to recognise when a criminal is trying to use their bank account in crime.
