A MAN found hanging in a garden had been the victim of a professional dating website scam which conned him out of around £8,000.
The Grimsby IT expert thought he was sending money to help a Canadian woman complete her police training and prepare for their wedding day.
An inquest at Cleethorpes Town Hall heard how in the 24 hours before his death he made 550 calls to the phone number in Canada in an attempt to speak to the woman.
A suicide note written in Punjabi said: "Gagarpreet Kaur Sandhu in Toronto and Teji Sandhu in India took $14,000 dollars of my money. That is why I am dead."
