eBay scammers

Hi all

I am currently selling an item on eBay and have come across 3 very realistic buyers but ended up being scams.

There are 2 separate ones (one person doubled up on the scam!!)

1. Firstly from Malaysia - [email protected]

2. Next from South Africa - eBay user name - oscamav-0 (cancelled username once I realised it was a scam)
Melinda Smith email - [email protected]
Also has this email account - [email protected]

3. Also from South Africa who I think is the same person -
eBay username amandsmit_185 (still active today)
Email address used is amandasmiths120@outlook com

Very good PayPal emails saying to send item and THEN give shipping instructions.

Please be very aware these guys emails and persuasions are good but did have a few grammatical errors in PayPal emails. So beware.

NEVER send items until funds are transferred and in your account.

Do not take your sell outside of ebay.

All communication should be within Ebay.

Please post the emails sent to you minus your personal information.

Look at the email header of the fake Paypal and you will see who really sent it.

First email sent to me. Had the paypal logo in top left.

Dear (full name included)

Be advised that payment of $4,500.00 AUD was made to your PayPal Account [[email protected]] by Melinda Smith.

According to the new PayPal/Ebay International Sale Security Policy: You are required to ship out the purchased item within the next 24 hours of receiving this notification and mail the shipment tracking number to the buyer: [email protected] [As Requested and linked], for immediate verification and instant accreditation of this fund into your PayPal account once buyer have confirmed shipment to us.

Note:
This fund will not reflect in your account at the moment, though it has been deducted from Payer's PayPal account and accredited to you, until shipment tracking number is received by our customers care team through the buyer as guided by EBay security policies, we do this to avoid fraud and to balance the buyer and seller's trading ratio.

Protect Your Account Info
Make sure you never provide your password to fraudulent websites.
To access the PayPal website or your account safely and securely, open a new web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape) and type in the PayPal URL : (www.paypal.com.au) to be sure you are on the real PayPal site.
PayPal will never ask you to enter your password in an email.
