Hello, I believe I may have been contacted by the same person. very similar story of a widowed man with two children his parents have passed and is an only child from Washington u.s.a. U.S. Army officer deployed in Africa. After three weeks he is madly in love and and wishes to marry upon his homecoming in December of 2015. Very sweet and charming. Has asked for money for registration for security prepossessing so that we may be able to continue talking. Has sent a few photos of himself and has requested several times for photos of myself and money for a birthday gift, he claims his birthday was April 11, 1977. Any information you can provide would be helpful. If I could figure out how to send a photo I would, if it's possible for you I would appreciate that as well. Thank you for you time. I'm sorry that this has happened to you and I.

Welcome to Scamwarners,

It is a scam. Please post his fake name, email address and a couple of his initial emails to you. This will help other women avoid being scammed.

The scammer told you that he is deployed in Africa because this is where he will want the money sent. He is a West African scammer using stolen photo's, poems stolen off the internet and pre written script.

Real military members do not require money for phone privileges, flights home, vacation/leave or medical. The military will provide all this free of charge.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.
