I have read other posts when I googled this name. I initially fell for it and sent an address. Has anything happened to anyone else that may have fell for this one as well? Thanks

Hi and welcome. I'm not familiar with any of the scams that may be associated with this particular name - scammers use tons of names, but we'd be glad to give you advice if you can either link us to a listing of this scam here at ScamWarners, or better, post a scam email (and email address).

From the bit you've written, if all you've sent the scammer is your address, you should be perfectly safe if you stop all contact.

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492

I'm sorry, that email address doesn't give me any further information. Can you please copy and paste the text part of an email from this person? Please make sure not to include your own name or info.

Thank you for posting further information. That is definitely a scammer. Notice that the scammer has no interest in the actual item, referring only to it as an "item"? He likely has no idea what you're actually selling and doesn't care.
The scammer will send you a fraudulent check, ask you to bank it and send money to the supposed courier, who is actually the same scammer using another name. When the fraud is discovered, you'll be financially and legally responsible for the check, with any money that you sent onward lost forever.
There is more information about check scams on this informational topic: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3238

Stop contact with the scammer, if you have not already done so, and let us know if you have questions.

Sheila Arlene wrote:Sound good,am really interested in buying it and i want you to
withdraw the advert from the CL and count it sold to me. I will offer
you extra $12 for you to be rest assured that the item is held for me.
I will contact my secretary to issue the payment to you via Bank
Certified Check due to the distance i am, and it will be delivered to
you via USPS courier services. I will need the following information
to mail the check to you asap.

[Full name to be on the check, Full Physical address to post the
check, City, State and Zip Code including your phone# to reach you]

NOTE, you will not be responsible for shipping i will have my mover to
come over as soon as you got the check.. Get back to me ASAP. Regards

Her writing is African, I didn't specify a price, it's not advertised on CL, the item is nonsensical, and I sent the email from a fake address.
