Seems dodgy although in a follow up email they provided a company number which I did a search on and it checked out. They could've just usurped the name and number of a legit company though. Googled it and another company by the same name came up. There are some spelling and syntax issues in the email too. No first name of the HR person, etc etc.

On the other hand they use a proper email address, not just gmail and they sent me a second email after I said I was interested linking me to a web page that is pretty thorough:

http://www.software-and-supportmedia.com/job/finance22

I'm pretty sure it's a scam but just wanted some other opinions. Thanks!

Definitely a scam! The website is set up by the scammers to add credibility to their story. What they are asking you to do is money laundering. You receive money from victims on your bank account, which you then forward using various wire transfers, often Western Union. Highly illegal! Additionally, when a police investigation is started, the money trail will lead directly to you!

Stop all contact with them immediately, if you haven't done so already.

As said earlier, the website is fake and is being reported as we speak. Hopefully it will be taken offline soon. In the meantime, please post all mail addresses, telephone numbers, etc you received involving this scam.

Thank you for posting your experience, and I'm glad you came to us before it was too late! If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

That is a Bimbom-Bump money mule recruiting site. That gang has been spewing out fake websites and fake company names for four years or so. That site has been reported; the email you got will go into another report soon as evidence. (These sites may last months before they go down; they tend to jump from one host to another.)

Hi joannes, welcome to scamwarners.

This is indeed a job scam, thank you very much for posting the details on this scam. Could you please tell us whether there was a website attached? If so, that one is most likely also a fake and needs to be shut down.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
