It could be any one of a number of different types of employments scams, but it is definitely not legitimate.

The website is only a month old and was registered anonymously - legitimate companies do not need to do that.

And then there are their claimed addresses - the Canadian one is a hotel.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Sorry for my skepticism (on both sides) but school boards have them posted on their websites as their exchange program partners and I found a canadian government website with a post about this foundation.

All pretty confusing to me. I may give the guy a call and I'll post if I see anything else strange about it.

The foundation may well exist, but this is not their legitimate website. The real one is www.ceef.ca

I wouldn't waste my time if I was you, he's a scammer, he will just lie to you.

It is a scam. I received the same email and looked up the actual foundation. I called them (a different number from the one provided by Peter Nilsen). They confirmed that they are not affiliated with the individual sending out these emails and have notified the authorities. They have been getting calls from all over Canada inquiring about this job offer. Apparently they have traced the source to Melbourne, Australia.

Do NOT offer them any information that could jeopardize your financial security. The scam is likely to come full swing when they ask for your bank information to "pay you" for your work. They may also be trying to hire Canadians to pose as representatives in the pursuit of scamming international students. Scammers will sometimes use third parties to do their dirty work.

I just received this email and after doing my research I found no legitimate reason to not apply for this job. Has anyone accepted the offer and not found any problems with payment etc? I havent given him my bank info but now I'm a little worried
#254403 by AlanJones Thu Jun 04, 2015 10:09 am
I can only assume that your research was extremely limited then, unless you're the scammer trying to make this look legitimate.

This thread has all the facts that you need to know that this is a scam.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
#254405 by FakeJobKiller Thu Jun 04, 2015 10:16 am
Yes, they are. They keep changing the websit, compnay name and recruiter's name to scam more people.

Hey guys it looks like they hit again. I was smart enough to know this might just be a scam from the geco, and thanks to this website I was able to confirm that. I basically got a carbon copy of the email sent out to hire me. I replied stating I'm interested but I haven't signed anything or nothing. I stopped responding. I plan on getting my local police department involved. They now operate under "The Canadian Education of International Exchange" offering "operation manager" positions. The individual who emails you is named "Adam Sosa" Email: [email protected] the Website: cedintex.org

P.S. they really should check their spelling if they want to look more legitimate.

Help me report them
