Gift wrappers don't make anywhere near that much money. The job is forwarding stolen merchandise to the scammer.

hrhgroup.us was registered yesterday for only one year and the website is empty. Please post the headers of the email.

Oh no! One of my friends just told me he signed up last week and already received a package! Should I tell him to send it back?
#265347 by Bryon Williams Thu Aug 27, 2015 12:19 pm
Yes, he should return it and stop all contact with the scammer. He does not need to explain anything to the scammer.

Your friend has received stolen merchandise bought with a stolen credit card or hacked bank account. When the holder of the account learns of the fraudulent purchase they will report it. Your friend will be the only one caught by Law Enforcement. Your friend is the only one using a real name and address in this scam.

Also have him save all the emails and report it to his local law enforcement.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

He says he's already sent 2 packages out. Should he turn himself in to the police?
#265352 by Bryon Williams Thu Aug 27, 2015 12:35 pm
He needs to be proactive.

He needs to go to the police and tell them he is a victim of a scam. Show them the emails and tell them what happened. Give them any remaining packages, mailing labels and account #'s of the mail account.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

liiindseyy, can you give me an update on your friend? I just received my first package. I saved all the e-mails and info but was wondering what the police say or do?
#268080 by Bryon Williams Wed Sep 16, 2015 9:58 pm
Each dept will have a different answer.

I highly suggest you protect yourself and follow the advice in this thread. If not you will not be seen as victim but a suspect.

You do not want additional cost of bail money and legal fees.
