Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

Beware! I was contacted this week by the "Head Human Resource" of Derbyshire Drilling, who claimed to be David Mahon regarding potential employment as a Subsea Engineer in the Offshore Oil and Gas Field. The e-mail asked me to submit my CV, which I did. I then received an e-mail with an application attached. The application was a bit overly detailed and struck me as odd so I began to look into the company more. I realized this was a scam because:

1. Although the company claims to be based in the UK, the website (.com) is a US-based domain name.

2. The Derbyshire Drilling website mirrors and even also uses the name Crestwells Offshore Drilling at times on its website. When I looked up Crestwells Offshore Drilling, the same key people were displayed on this website. Crestwells Offshore Drilling had a Houston, TX based address. When I looked up this address (6200 Savoy Dr #630, Houston, TX 77036, USA). I learned it was a virtual office that provided mail forwarding (https://unitedvirtualoffice.com/texas/houston-6200-savoy-drive). This company also does not appear to be registered in the TX business database on its state website.

3. The address and telephone number utilized for Derbyshire Drilling (5 Berry St, Aberdeen AB25 1HF (+44) 1224459242) was previously associated with another scam according to (https://scamsurvivors.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=58708#p138244) this scam was called stenardoffshore.com

4. When I looked up the website https://derbyshiredrilling.com at https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=derbyshiredrilling.com This website showed the Derbyshire Drilling website tracked back to 1500 N. University Drive, suite 115, Coral Springs Florida 33071. When I googled this address it also came up in another number of scam alert websites.

5. When I looked up the website through scam adviser (https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/derbyshiredrilling.com), it was clear there was a long list of other offshore oil websites registered. I did not look through all the websites but this seemed odd on top of everything else.
