This payment representative scam works by getting victims to believe that they are doing a legitimate job processing customer payments for Sydney Gas for a 10% commission. In reality the payments will be fraudulent and when the vctims' bank discovers this, the onus on repaying the money will fall on the victim. There is also a possibility that the relevant law enforcement agencies may press charges; not against the scammer but against the victim.
There is a genuine company known as Sydney Gas Limited ACN 003 324 310. They have nothing to do with this scam.
