I have to add that under around 2 weeks they haven't asked me for any money.
But now his lawyer has asked me to send 790£ for the fees to the apparently notorious Affidavit of Guarantee.

Welcome to Scamwarners Skjuludde.

This is a definite scam. Do not send any money - the job does not exist.

Note this search result on the telephone number in the scammers mail click here

Also the telephone number is a UK re-direct service - much favoured by scammers - and tranfers to anywhere in the World.

Dear,

Thanks for your prompt reply,

First, Williams Thompson Family is pleased to offer you an opportunity to work for the family as an Au pair/Teacher.

Secondly, you will have to print out and sign our contract agreement with you showing that our offer has been fully accepted by you , a copy should be sent back to the family via e-mail and not through courier to avoid delay, while you send another copy to GORDON FISHER CHAMBERS immediately for swearing of your affidavit of Guarantee from the Royal Courts Of Justice , QUEEN'S BENCH DIVISION here in England showing that once you receive Visa, Work/Residence permit and Flight Ticket including your advance first month salary of GBP 3,000 from the family that you are going to join your duties as agreed.

Thirdly, I want to inform you that is not the Family's responsibility to obtain an affidavit of Guarantee for any of their employee or take care of any cost that may arise on the process.

Affidavit of Guarantee is requested by the Family due to the bad experience we had last month from one Ms. Lisa Yong who claims to be an Au pair/Teacher and after she receive her VISA, FIRST MONTH SALARY AND RELOCATION BENEFITS from the family she disappears into thin air and could not be reached.

On this reason the family lawyer advice that any Au pair/Teacher being employed by Williams Thompson Family 'MUST’ obtain and present to the Family an Affidavit of Guarantee from the Royal Courts Of Justice, QUEEN'S BENCH DIVISION here in England showing that once he receives Visa, Work/Residence permit and Flight Ticket including advance first month salary of GBP 3,000 that he is going to join his duties as agreed thus making it possible for the family to trace and apprehend any defaulter in other words curtailing the loss that may arise from unscrupulous candidate.

On confirmation of the affidavits of guarantee which shows your readiness to work for the family on or before your commencement date’ WILLIAMS THOMPSON FAMILY'' will provide you a free VISA,WORK/RESIDENCE PERMIT and also shall pay into your account which you shall provide before embarking on trip, your one (1)month salary, flight ticket fare and relocation benefit and as well reimburse you the amount spent on the procurement of your Affidavit of Guarantee as to enable you take care of your financial needs before joining us in England.

Attached is my family and house pictures.

Thanks for your understanding and co-operation and may God be with you as we look forward to welcoming you.
Sincerely.

Note that i got one fee before this Affidavit of Guarantee. But i've managed to make them "pay" that. And i've also done everything within my reach to get this "family" to pay all fees for me. In change of course that they won't pay any salary or anything in advance or any money if they now should be real.
Note that in the other emails his englishs been much much better.

@ Skjuludde

Thanks for posting the emails, it does help to have them posted and prevents many people from being scammed.

The changing lever of English skill is often due to where they got their script from or if they are writing specifically for you.

Scammers will normally use scripted emails as often as they can to save themselves time and to look more authentic.

Bad spelling and grammar can be a huge giveaway which is something they are aware of so they do try hard to fix their mistakes.

As they use their scripts more and more, some potential victims point out their mistakes which they then fix for the next person.

And i answered that i won't be able to pay the said amount and i presented another solution. If he doesn't accept it i know he's a scam.

As said in earlier mail they want to pay me a months advanced salary. I said that if they paid all fees and everything and don't ask me to send any money. I will decline their offer to send me money in advance. So just make sure that no money is being transferred at all. I said i would pay for eventual flight ticket and that he can just pay me back if he wants when i arrive.

I myself find my solution to be reasonable. They won't either give me any visa or something until i arrive, as i can arrive in the country without visa. So they have more or less no risk to be scammed, and neither do i. So if they don't accept it they are a scam. Thats that :)

You will be require to work 30-35 hours weekly and your responsibility in my house is just to take good care of the kids get them ready for school. I've answered that i am interested in the job. But i will under no circumstances wire any money to her or neither will i ask for any money from her. More or less the same as the recent offer to this so called Mr. Williams Thompson. The pay here is much more reasonable. And yeah well i hope something is real atleast. As i really want an au pair job. And soon too. Can't stand a second at home.

There is absolutely no doubt it is a scam

The people you have been communicating with are criminals

They are trying to steal your money

They have been known to threaten their victims life and in fact I have had my life threatened by them.

For me, they know absolutely nothing about me so I can laugh it off,

Could you do the same when they begin to tell you what they are going to do to you and your family.

Please, cease all conact immediately

Ignore any further attempts to contact you and they will go away eventually.

Lastly, please listen to The Enchantress, she has given you loads of proof that this is a scam
