The sender of this email is upfront about wanting you to handle counterfeit checks. They are not being truthful however about how you will 'not get into trouble' for doing this. You WILL get into trouble for doing this: DO NOT HANDLE COUNTERFEIT CHECKS - it is against the law.
The sender of this email may not be in the UK. They have used a suspected proxy server, which may be hiding where this email was sent from. But, wherever they are from, you can be certain that they have made themselves anonymous and untraceable. The recipients of the counterfeit checks will have undoubtedly done the same thing. It is very probable that the only connection to the counterfeiting operation would be YOU. And, therefore, it would be YOU that law enforcement targeted.
This is now in the public eye. DO NOT be tempted to reply to this email.
