Welcome to Scamwarners,

You can give the fake checks and mail labels to FedEx. Tell them it is a scam.

The hacked FedEx accounts need to be reported along with the bank accounts.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

Just had this same experience after applying for a job on Outsourcely.com for "Data Entry Clerk."

Scammer is using name Robert Alston, email: [email protected]

He will only communicate via Google Hangouts or email. I purchased check paper, ink, and shipping labels before I found this website. He gave me direct links to Amazon for the materials. I got suspicious after he asked me to purchase another printer the day after I purchased "everything I needed."

I will return items from Amazon but am kind of concerned that he has my name, address, phone number, email, etc. - though I understand from reading this thread that I was probably only one half of his scam...his real money was probably coming from someone else including the people receiving the fake checks.

So you need a biller and what program do you use? QuickBooks ? Payroll mate I have some experience with patrol and accounting. As I just closed my own business. What about the up front cost of office supplies to accomplish this? And so my next question is what does it pay and how often do you get paid is it off the books ? or is it on the books? And if you don't mind me asking out of curiosity what is a payroll specialist exam what do you do I mean do you go over people's payroll and analyze it look for mistakes or actually do their payroll the field I haven't heard of so I was just wondering exactly what it does so. And I have many years experience at running an office always start off as a peon and end up too much running everybody else's business. I'm sorry I had to actually work today so I can't always be on Facebook. Yes it would be nice but unfortunately I can't. And just in case those came off the wrong way the question about the payroll specialist it's an honest question no bad meeting in it whatsoever since it'll all these feels I've never heard of so I'm curious to know what it does. Thank you

I just had a similar experience with this Robert Alston character. Used the email [email protected] and the phone number (719) 301-9543.

Sent me a check to supposedly donate to an orphanage. Wanted me to use the money to buy toys for kids and then send them to an orphanage as well as make a direct deposit into their account for a child with a heart disease.

Supposed pay was $500 per week. I was very suspicious of this from the start but was hopeful that it was legitimate.

This just recently happened to me. I applied for a job on Indeed.com for an Administrative Assistant searching for a legitimate job not thinking that Indeed would even allow this type of scam to be going on. He emailed me back within a couple of days with this response to the job offer.

Subject: Re: New candidate associated for Office Assistant

I received your response toward the position that I posted on Indeed. I'm looking for someone that can be trusted and reliable, someone with good understanding and working skills. I'm Mr. Robert Alston , 58 years of age, I served as a facilitator for Intact Financial Associates in Canada and United State to various welfare and community service programs. I most very often get my hands occupied, So it is imperative for me to have a worthy assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities. This is flexible position, working with me is basically about instructions and following them. My only fear is that I may come at you impromptu sometimes, So I need someone who can be able to meet up with my irregular timings. I'm sure you'll understand I tend to have a very busy schedule at this point as I am presently in Canada for a summit. I will be back in 3 Weeks time. I think you're the right person for this post, Please note that this position is not office based for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules. It's a part-time, and the flexibility means that there will be busier weeks than others. So it's a little difficult judging the exact number of hours you'll be doing per week. If you can manage your time properly, this job may even give you some extra while you do something else on the side. As I have said, I'd want us to get a head start with things as soon as possible. I do have a pile up of work and a number of unattended chores which you can immediately assist me with. I hope we can meet up with the workload eventually.
Permit me to use the coming week to test your efficiency and diligence towards all this, also to work out your time schedule and fit it to mine. I really need to find the perfect person for this job and I am confident you can take up the challenges. On the long run we should have a relatively sound working relationship between us.

FYI: Fill the below for consideration.

FIRST NAME ..................... SURNAME...................

ADDRESS..................

CITY ...........STATE..............

ZIP CODE.............

CELL PHONE NUMBER........................

PRESENT OCCUPATION......................

If available Once I have received your application form, I will get back to you with the task for the week ahead. Please understand that you will be paid ($600 weekly) as well as its important for me to make the necessary steps before I get back from my business trip.

I proceeded on responding with my acceptance to the job offer and he responded back with this after a couple of days.

This is to confirm to you that your information has been received and approved. You have been accepted and employed. As you know this is a part-time employment for now , If you have any other job at the moment, you can still keep to your job.You will start work asap, I will keep you informed as soon as I make the list of what you have to do for me and email them to you , but the first on the list is the charity home funding that I usually do, I do this every month to 3 charity home, You will be helping me out in purchasing some items which will be donated to them, The funds to do the assignment will be sent over to you from one of my business associate and I have some list to email you once you received the funds. You will make some arrangements in buying some stuff for the kids in the nearest store around you so you can mail them out. I will get you more information on that. I need you to answer the questionnaire below.

How frequently do you use the internet for better correspondence?
Are you employed at the moment?
How would you like to receive your pay? Weekly or Bi-Weekly
What days and hours are good for you to work?

Ensure you check your emails daily so you can keep in contact with me because I will be communicating with you mostly through email & phone messaging , It's nice having you on board. I hope to meet you very soon.

Best Regards

Robert Alston

Not knowing this was a scam but having the gut feeling I had, I figured it was bull****. I responded back with the answers to the question and he then emailed me back with this.....

How are you doing over there, hope you had a great Night, I am pleased to inform you that the funds for the orphanage and your weekly payment has been sent and schedule to deliver to you today via the USPS courier service with the tracking number ( 9470112699350007920211 ), proceed with your first assignment after you deposit the payment with your bank which will be available immediately or between 24hr depending on your bank policy.

However, I have been contacted by one of the orphanage/charity home, the administrator of the organization told me about one of the kid under their care has a heart disease, she made me to understand that the kid need to undergo a surgical heart transplant which has to be carried out soonest, i promise the organization administrator that I will do anything I can to help out by providing some fund to them along with the normal monthly contribution i use to do.

I have also been given the list of the items they need, The items are much and it will cost a lot of money to get them ship, so I have reached an accord with them that I will send them the funds and they need to get all those items them self. I even introduce you to them that I have a new personal assistance that is working with me. So now you will have to deduct your weekly payment of $550 from the total amount you have on the check payment, Also, deduct $50 for transportation expenses. so the total amount you are to deduct is $600. The remaining fund is to be sent to the orphanage home through Cash Deposit to their account

Note : I will ask for their bank information for the cash deposit where the money will be deposited to and i will get back to you.

I will be waiting to read back from you asap and I also want you to try to help me look for toys for kids of (10yrs - 15yrs). I will be contacting you on the phone this morning.

Best Regards

Robert Alston

Once I received the check in the mail, it had a totally different name on it with no address.. I seen it and automatically knew it was a counterfeit so I took it to Check Depot to make sure.. they wouldn’t tell me if it was or not so I took it to my bank and truth be told it was a counterfeit. Please be careful. This man has been doing this for a while now and I had the police called on me which I accepted and I gave them all his information and all the emails regarding this scam. He is a douchebag, looking for gullible jobseekers. He only communicates through email and from a fake number.. DONT FALL FOR THE OKEDOKE!! He is definitely not who he says he is. Wish I would have looked his email up from the beginning but you live and you learn.

Yes he found my resume and wanted me to be a personal assistant and send me a check. The check was supposed to cover my pay ($600) and the rest was supposed to be used to buy children's toys to donate to a hospital. He told me his name was Robert Alston ([email protected]). The check was shipped from Emmert Intl, located in Oregon state. Removed (BW)
