BBB accreditation of a Russian business ?

This one's dead already, but previous sites by this gang have pretended to be an interior design business in Florida that is a branch of a business in Russia. The sites have Russian licenses that are either forged by the scammers or copies of licenses of unrelated Russian companies.

I have a question. I, like a moron, believed that this was real. Until today, I could not find anything on the internet that would have shown me otherwise. I have received a payment already and was going to send it o them this evening. I did not deposit the payment into my account, I verified that the check was good and cashed it. I did that this morning. While I was waiting for her reply to give me the info to send it off, I did a search again and found this discussion. What do I do now? Anyone have some advice? Please help if you can.

I do not know where you cashed the check/money order. You need to contact your local police and file a report. You will be held responsible for the money you received. The money came from a hacked or stolen account. Eventually, that victim will realize this and report it to their Banks fraud dept and they will report it to the Police.

Do not spend or forward that money to the scammer. Save the emails he sent you and give copies to the Police.

Then I responded, assuming it was BS because Im no financial manager. After some digging, along with this website Ive found several others that essentially confirm that yes, this is simply a money muling scam. Have you EVER had a potential employer send you a link to their business license in their initial contact with you? Of course you haven't. These people are Russian organized crime groups (probably too much credit categorizing them as such.) Do not fall for these parasites taking advantage of REAL people desperately seeking REAL employment. I wish our tax dollars went to stopping scumbags like this instead of going to......wherever our tax dollars go.

The business license is for an unrelated Russian company and the Florida certificate is fake. I've seen them several times before. The site is in the process of being reported for fraud.

I just got these e-mails this morning ... I decided to do a little research and came across this forum.

I figured they were scammers, just because nowhere in my resume does it say I know and understand finances. Their website is still online too, and lists the "Financial Manager" position on the "Careers" page. It's a pretty badly done website if you ask me... They e-mailed me three times this morning, all in the span of an hour.
