Dear Sirs,

I have to norify to you that:

Miss Sharon Burnette (she had a romance scam)

she promise to my friend a loan to received to the end of this month (January 2011).

We payed what was requested and in the moment to wait the payment.....we receive an info by another friend that Miss Burnette is dead. (car accident)

We do not know if it is true. We try to contact the Bank where she works but until now nobody tell us something.

We had this paper in hand and we are able to do nothing else.

Other info:

email address of Miss Burnette: [email protected]

Bank: First City Monument Bank of Nigeria

We tried to write an email to the 2 addresses but nobody answered to us.

What can you do?

Thank you for your answer.

Welcome to Scamwarners, and I'm sorry you have lost money.
It's 100% scam, I'm afraid. Asking you to pay money so you can be sent a much larger amount is called advance fee fraud.
Fatal car accidents are common in scams, and no bank in the world, uses free email addresses such as Rocketmail (Yahoo).
There's nothing much you can do, I'm afraid. Report it to the police as you have lost money, although it is gone for good. The scammer is likely to be in West Africa, well beyond the reach of your local police.
