They take money and never do anything. They take a down payment and never return money. Its a scam. I have already contacted the FBI and local authorities.

Hi Permtidiva and welcome. I'm sorry to hear that you've been scammed by them. Can you post a bit more information for us? Do they have a website? If you have emails from them, please post those, as well, with headers. (we'll help you if you don't know how to retrieve email headers).

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492

The info for Sterling National Lender's is as follows: Sterling National Lender's, 46340 Potomac Plaza, Suite 206, Sterling, Virginia, 20164, 866-834-5339, fax 757-353-4415. The contact persont there is felisha Adams. I was able to get ahold of her today and she assured me I would get my money. It gets updated every wed and sat,. so she says. I hope she is right. I google earthed the address and it seems to be a legit address at a Sun Bank accross from a Wendy's restauran. If anyone hads any dealing with these people and either lost or got their money refunded to you, please let me know. They have no web site.

I have done a bit more searching since your last post. That appears to be a lending scam.

Please read this thread, here at scamwarners: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1605

and this one: viewtopic.php?p=6902#p6902
There are a lot of sites, fake lenders and unfortunately, victims.

Also showing up in a search of the name is this http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/4 ... 420202.htm

permtidiva I am sorry I fear you have lost money to this scam. I hope and pray not.

Yes the address is real. But there is no Sterling National Lenders there or anywhere else.

I wished I had better news. Everyone in this forum will I am sure agree that no one here thinks for one minute that you are a "sucker". You were callously conned by someone who is very sophisticated and does this for a living (i.e., a "professional"). Whatever happens I wish you a happier tomorrow. Do not blaim yourself, you are a wonderful person for sharing vital information that could help other potential victims. Hold your head high, I am proud of you.

Borrowers are being advised to beware of companies that offer to arrange loans but request an upfront fee. It will be certainly be a fraudulent mass-marketed scam.

No reputable loan companies require advance fees. Only scammers ask people to pay an upfront fee with the promise of a loan.

Sadly it is mostly those with existing credit problems that fall into the trap of such leeches when they are offered a solution to their money problems.

These vermin prey particularly on vulnerable individuals and promise them a low-interest loan as an easy solution, but the reality is that there is no loan and this is just a front for scammers looking to make a quick buck.

Please everyone be very wary, don’t get ripped off. Pass the word to all your friends, family, neighbours.
