Maltese dog scam

Found dozens of adds all over the country that read like this:

"Email me at [email protected]

Adorable and playful maltese puppy for adoption.Friendly and loving house PUPPY.Aet checked, de-wormed and have health certificates and akc registration.

Asking $250 Email me at [email protected]"

Emails contain poor english with lots of details about wanting love for the puppy as the person must "go abroad on a mission". Asks for payment by Western Union to Joseph Cappucino in Lake Worth Florida.

Typical pet scam email

Thanks for the interest in regards of Emma our Female Maltese
puppy for adoption.She is 12 weeks old,very healthy,vaccinated AKC registered
and have been potty trained.She is safe with children and other pets.
Emma is a very loyal,gentle and affectionate.Emma is very obedient and has
been trained to walk on leash during the day when she intends to go
out for a walk.
She weights 2lbs and when he is fully grown she expected to weight about 4lbs
I will like you to know the reason am getting rid of Emma because
she is not for sale.
I got a new job and will be leaving the States soon for a mission in another
country,I will not be able to take care of Emma while on my mission
and i look forward to give her out.I will like to
asked you some few questions regarding her adoption.

2.Do you have kids and other pets?
3.Why did you need her?
4.Would you take good care of her?
