Thanks to this post along with my own suspicions I was able to determine that this was in fact a scam. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/pet/4475144771.html

This scammer wanted me to send money via walmart moneygram and refused to send pix of "her" with the puppies. Only pix of the puppies in an email that sounded pre-drafted. Texts messages were also fishy sounding. Sure enough I googled the phn # and here I am.
