I recently began looking for a female St Bernard to keep my 2 males company. I used the same site that I had when I found the reputable breeder from whom I purchased my boys. This time, I found two breeders that showed up in my region, but with out-of-the-area phone numbers. Both sent me similar emails. One is from a "Jordan Parks", who claims to be in Spokane, Washington, but uses a Phoenix, AZ phone number (yes, I checked). The other is from a "Hendrick Clarks", who I just called out via text for attempting to scam me. Here's "Hendrick"'s email:

both.The puppies will come alongside all their registration papers,
vaccination certificate,vet records,micro chipped certificate ,shots
and wormings etc

He's giving a generic description of the breed, coupled with info buyers would want to hear. Now, let's compare it to "Jordan"'s email:

**Again, almost sounds legit... for a minute. And when I inquired further, "Jordan" even gave me the name of a legitimate pet shipping company. But, let's be realistic here; no puppy with a pedigree is going to be shipped with supplies, across the country (I mean the ENTIRE country--I'm in PA), for a total purchase amount of $500 which INCLUDES shipping. Also... why is "Spokane, WA" in parentheses?? The offer of a home visit is a lovely bluff; this scammer knows I live across the country and will not be visiting.
Both of these scammers tipped me off with very poor written composition. Both used poor grammar and irregular wording and punctuation. It just didn't add up. When I received the email from "Hendrick", I figured that this was no coincidence. BE CAREFUL!!! These scammers are appearing on the surface as legit, until you look a little further.
