Hello,
I've received your inquiry about my apartment for rent. First of all, Sorry for the late reply! My name is Olivier Bisset and I own the property, not subletting or something like that.
This apartment comes fully furnished, ready for move-in as we speak. A clean and quiet apartment with cable TV, high-speed WiFi internet, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Two garaged parking spots and if you prefer to use your own furniture there is a storage unit where I can deposit my furniture before you move in. Well behaved pets are allowed. In my opinion this is the best area to live in, a simply great and safe neighborhood.
The monthly rent for the entire apartment will be $500 - utilities included (electricity, heat, cable, water, sewer). I'm looking for long-term rent (minimum 2 months). My job is inspecting offshore oil rigs so I will never bother you during your rental period.
My previous tenants practically destroyed the apartment and now I had the entire property completely refurbished, everything is brand new (see attached photos). I am not after a high profit, but after good tenants who will treat my property as their own home and I hope that you can send me some personal information about yourself.
Being offshore and with so limited options I must use Airbnb for the rental process. Here is a brief description of how it works:
The process is pretty simple, as owner I need to submit information about my property to Airbnb, my details and some documents. Then they will process the tenant's details as well.

Please reply if you want to know more about the rental process and I will send you the step by step procedure.

Find attached more photos and let me know if you like the apartment.

Best Regards,
IADC Certified Engineer - Olivier Bisset

Thanks for having the information available. I, too, have one to share from the same person. What's really difficult is that you cannot even use an apartment guide these days.

Hello,

Future advice.

Make sure you can physically go inside any rental and meet the landlord face to face prior to renting.

Ask any questions you may have on Scamwarners if in doubt.

Thanks

I decided to write back to see what he would say so I can share it here. He included a passport photo of an alleged military man (who may be real and it's a stolen identity), but if they are renting in the USA and the person you renting from is from the USA, why would you ever give me your passport and not your driver's license? People do not commonly use that in the USA, in this case, the perpetrator probably doesn't have access to the DL. I won't share the picture because it's not fair to the person being imitated. Also, anyone being scammed or thinking they are about to be, xxxxxx report it to your local police or state agency.

Hello ,

Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned, Airbnb will handle the rental process on my behalf due to my offshore job.
The first step (Starting the process):
- I will have to contact the Airbnb agency and provide them all the necessary information so they can start the rental process. That being said I will need your full name, the rental period with exact move-in date, how many people will live there, your email, your phone number and a copy of your ID or Passport if possible.
Step two (Reservation):
- Airbnb will require from you a security deposit of $800 to confirm reservation ( which is fully refundable in case you don't like the apartment ). Once you confirm reservation I will immediately book my next flight and organize the walk-through. If you are in a hurry to move in I could send you the keys by FedEx at your current address. It goes without saying that I will not book a flight or send any keys before you pay the security deposit to Airbnb and confirm the reservation.

An Id or passport whether used in this country or out of country does not make it real.
He can provide you a stolen ID if you wish.
> If you are satisfied with the apartment all you have to do is to provide a valid ID,

If you have not lost money your local police can not do anything about it.

If you have lost money they still can not do anything about it. If you are in the US and lost money report it to IC3 https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx if you are out of country we can try to find a place for you to report it.

The basic advice is:

Make sure you can physically go inside any rental and meet the landlord face to face prior to renting.

Ask any questions you may have on Scamwarners if in doubt.

Thanks

Hello zzzzzzz, thank you for your inquiry,
First of all, sorry for the late reply (I had a terrible week at the job). The apartment I own on 466 N 13th St, San Jose, CA is available and ready to move in as we speak at a monthly rent of $800. A few things about myself, I'm 69 years old and I work inspecting offshore oil rigs. Oh, and you can call me Olivier.
If interested, please give me some information about yourself (age, job, something that shows you are financially stable, lifestyle or whatever you think makes you a good tenant). What else...? the neighborhood is very safe, 2 months minimum stay up to 5 years with the possibility of renewal, behaved pets are allowed. The move in amount will be first month's pay + one month deposit.
I would need a few rental details as well, how long do you plan to rent the apartment, starting when?

I'm currently on an oil rig but I could plan my trip to San Jose so I can show you the apartment. I'm sure you will love it, no one lived there since I've taken the photos.

Find more photos https://imgur.com/a/qlJOJ41 and let me know if you like the apartment.
