Thank you for your response. The apartment is available now and you can rent it for up to 5 years, with an extending option. The apartment is furnished and renovated, but if you want, you can rent it unfurnished and you can store my furniture in the large basement cellar. As you can see from the pictures, the apartment is very clean and is located at the first floor. Last months I came 2 times in Germany to meet with some potential tenants, but nobody has shown up on the meetings, and I think you can imagine that it is not very comfortable to fly Finland - Germany especially when I am caught up with work commitments. For this reason I have decided to prearrange the deal with Airbnb, and manage the rental process through them, so my presence in Germany is not necessary. The keys and all necessary papers are in their possession.
For long term rentals, Airbnb requires a deposit to arrange an inspection of the property. Airbnb will send an agent with the keys and the rental contract, and you can inspect the apartment, but first you have to pay the rental value of the first month 370 EUR + 500 EUR as a security deposit (kaution) which you will get back at the end of the contract. Airbnb will not show you the apartment without any guarantee as no one lives there and respond for the security of the property.
A viewing before booking is not possible but Airbnb is guaranteeing the whole transaction between us. They will hold the funds until you will inspect the property so both parties are fully protected. After your visit, if you do not want to rent it for whatever reason (i.e. does not look like what you have seen in the photos), the agent will refund all your money on the same day.
