Hello,

Please note that the apartment will be available for move-in or viewing from February 15th, as that is when the current occupants lease will expire. The present occupants lease will expire 12:00 noon and that is the earliest viewing date (February 15th) so if you are really interested i will advice you try and secure it now so that you do not loose it to other potential tenants who are also in contact with me in regards to this apartment and like you know who ever make is deposit first to secure it gets it. The apartment is fully furnished and loaded with all amenities the pictures you saw online are the exact pictures and condition of the apartment. There is parking for 2 cars attach to this unit with no extra charges.

To book the apartment you will make deposit for the first month rental fee of $2,450 plus a refundable security deposit of $2,000 which amount to $4,450.

Please if you will like to move ahead in securing the apartment now, do let me know so that I can forward you the lease contract and reservation details for booking immediately. I hope you understand what I am saying here? Because if you secure it now, and come that viewing that you change your mind for any reason I will simply refund your deposit back to you in full value. I wait your earliest response to my email as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Matthew Weinrich.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
