gumtree phone scam

Hello and firstly thank you for the guys setting up a site like this to help people you are worth a weight in gold.

Right my son who is 18 set up a gumtree account to sell a phone (did this behind my back) and found a lady who got him to give her his bank details what i can gather is she said she will use a bank to transfre the money,so he sent the phone off to this adress (which he still has) and got a copy of the tracking order.

The bank was called netbank and he hasnt heard from her for a few days now (the lady that is) he emailed netbank and this is what they emailed him

Scammer will often make fake emails and with email addresses similar to real banks/Paypal. You will need to look at the email headers to see what was the sent email address.

We can tell you more if you post the emails the scammer sent and the fake bank sent. Please post the email headers also.

The headers don't tell us much, since Gmail strips the IP address, but the writing style tells us that the scammer is African.
