Scam thriugh LinkedIn?

I was contacted on LinkedIn by a woman in Afghanistan. As she is in my field of work I accepted her request to be connected. She claims to be a midwife and single parent to 7 children. A taliban comander has started to threaten her life unless she gives him her 17 year old daughter. Can I please help....
A scam?

Sounds like a scam. A real person in her situation would not reach out to someone she just contacted online a few days ago and hasn't met in person. Please post the emails, including headers.
