Scam invitations to non-existent conferences
#37460 by David Jansen Fri Sep 17, 2010 2:44 pm
This scam email looks like an invitation to a conference about human rights. But it's just a scam email with the only purpose to make you pay for the cost of a hotel. The conference doesn't take place, and in most cases the hotel is fake too.

Welcome raftaarnews. I'm sorry to say the email you received is a complete fraud. There is no organisation called "America Foundation for Max Care", and they are using the free email provider "globomail" rather than an email address affiliated with a real organisation.

There are other signals as well which make it clear there is no such event.
