Dr. Kiran Patel, noted Tampa physician, philanthropist and healthcare entrepreneur,

will present the keynote address at HealthCamp Tampa 2013 presented by HealthCamp
Florida, FMQAI and TiE Tampa. Dr. Patel’s topic will be focused on his own personal story of
entrepreneurship in medicine and innovation in the healthcare industry.

HealthCamp is an event where people can see and hear about the remarkable
innovations that are transforming healthcare. This is the first year TiE Tampa is participating
in HealthCamp and the third year HealthCamp is being held in Florida. Approximately 300
attendees are expected to participate in 40 sessions. Designed to showcase, discuss and
promote innovations that are transforming healthcare, this year’s event will include more
panels, speakers and topics, while still following an “unconference” format that encourages
interaction and flexibility. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013
at the University of South Florida’s Marshall Center.

The event focuses on innovation, collaboration and conversation about many of the major
topics in the healthcare industry today. People will be encouraged to share new ideas,
best practices and, what works for them. This can include anything that helps healthcare
professionals do their job better, or helps patients, improves internal processes, saves money
or, makes money.
