This is the same scammer who also pretends to be called James Smith, Angelina Alfred, and Casey Clifford. You can read about these scams here:

James Smith
Angelina Alfred
Casey Clifford

You will notice that all of those pretend that their previous au pair has the email address [email protected].

This scammer wants to steal £800 but, like most scammers, is prepared to steal less money than this if somebody does not have the whole amount to send to him. A usual way for a scammer to try to persuade someone to send a lower amount of money is to pretend that he will share the costs:

From: Charles Ramsey <[email protected]>

I once assisted my cousin to pay for a
Nanny from Mexico, after paying all the processing charges, she
turned us down by saying she had another offer from USA and that was
the place she intended going.

Her papers were ready so due to the fact that she turned down the
opportunity as well as futile my efforts and wasting my money because
the money was no longer refundable as her papers were all ready, I
thought of it that had it been I have asked her to pay half of the
money, she wouldn't have turned down the job my cousin offered her
cause she will consider her money involved.

However, since I have promised you the job and I really would like you
to take it up, I really don't mind to sponsor more than half payment
but believe me, you'll still show me commitment, I consider it very
important. Hope you understand. Quickly let me know how much you can
afford so we both can agree on when to send the payment to the
Immigration service after i must have forwarded your information's
back to them.

Warm regards,

This is untrue. The fees are an invention of the scammer, so there is not really any money to pay. The scammer is therefore pretending to pay part of an imaginary and non-existent fee - in the hope that this pretence will prompt the receiver of the email to send him some money to steal.

Here is an email from the fake previous au pair. This is part of the scam, and was written by the same scammer who is writing the emails pretending to come from Charles Ramsey.

How are you doing, Well I am Roseline Brenda from Japan, i worked for 2 years as an Aupair for The Charles Family In Manchester,United Kingdom....spending a good, nice and wonderful time with their Family....

Mr Charles is being a very good and kind man to me, he treats me like part of His family and their Kids are very friendly and lovable and respectful.....

The Both parents are Friendly, and am not happy about leaving his family, But i have to come back home due to my Mother's Death.....

Mr Charles , is a very simple and easy going man, he is very friendly and lively, Trustworthy and God Fearing man....And all i do during my working hours is just to take their kids to school and bring them back home, help them with some little school works and play with them till their parent comes back from work.

Staying with the Charles family is a very good and lovable thing and place i have ever experienced in my life since i have been a nanny....I am so much thankful to the Charles Family for helping me contact the Immigration Service for the processing of my Traveling documents, And a fee of 800pounds was paid by me for the processing of my Traveling Documents with the Immigration. I sent the funds to Mr Charles and he helps me get everything arranged and sent to me.. And i was very happy they get all my documents processed and sent to me within a week..And i am very sure you will enjoy being part of their family as i did before i left..
