Hi,
Im selling a blackberry on ebay, yesterday i got this message:
Dear project000,

I will pay you £250.00 for the item.If you agree then, Kindly send me your response so that I will pay you the money.

You can as well send me paypal money request so that I can send you the money.

Here is my Paypal email address ([email protected])

Looking forward for your response

I replied saying that there might be a mistake as my item worth less than £40, he replied saying that he wanted my paypal information so he could send the money.
Now, if i give him my account can he do anything?

Im from london btw, and this person looks like to be in usa and his paypal address is [email protected]

Thanks for your time

Welcome here project000.

Yes, it's likely this is a overpayment scam. Don't bother to write to this person, and he will leave you alone.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

Hi Project000, It sounds like the usual overpayment or else you will be asked to forward the excess to a "shipper"

Needless to say, any payment method will end up being either a fake cheque, or a fake paypal website the scammer directs you to.

Please read through here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3222

My advice is to delete and ignore.
