Scammer actually wants your merchandise

The Scammer will send email saying that he wants to buy your 'item' and will tell you he will pay through Paypal

This will be followed by a FAKE email from Paypal telling you that your paypal account will be credited as soon as you send the shipping number.

The scammer sends very elaborate and convincing screen shots of Paypal emails.

Thanks for using PayPal. We are pleased to inform you that the payment has been approved and your funds has been deducted from Dovanni Larry PayPal account, which we are ready to transfer the money into your PayPal account as soon as we receive the shipping tracking number from you.

On this note, you are advised to post the items to the address on the payment confirmation you received and send the tracking number to us as soon as possible so that we can transfer the money that has been deducted from the buyer's account into your PayPal account specified (xxxxxx).

Please note that the shipping tracking number is needed for official verification purpose. This measure has been taken by PayPal in order to protect both buyers and sellers on Craigslist and to bring low level of high rates of fraudulent activities act on Craigslist. Your collaboration is highly needed to curb this unwanted act on Craigslist.

Mail the tracking number to our customer care.

Paypal will never hold a sellers money until a shipping receipt has been provided.

Once you have shipped your merchandise, it it very hard to stop and retrieve.

Sellers should always personally verify payment before shipping merchandise
