beware of scam emails from [email protected] (they pretend to come from
Citi-Bank Group) with titles like "Important Information On How to Complete Your Recent Transaction (Transaction ID: SC73661536625RD)".
I was trying to sell my laptop online and i got messages from several [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected], they are followed the same tactics:
1. they asked if the merchandise is in perfect condition
2. then offered more money than i asked for
3. wanted the laptop for a relative (cousin, daughter) in a distant country
4. wanted to pay via Paypal or Citi-Bank,
4. all used google translate to respond in my native language
here is the email from the fake Citi-Bank Group <[email protected]> account:
