I received a scam email via autotrader.com. The email headers are not useful because the message is relayed through AutoTrader. Unfortunately, the IP address of the "buyer" is not provided by AutoTrader. I did not even bother to reply to this one, as I have no doubts of its intent.

Here is the initial message from the scammer. It contains the usual red flags (grammar, punctuation, etc). The scammer is using the name Andy. I also found his email and script in a scam warning from a piano tuners web site.

Hello, I'm Andy and I found your contact details through the web directory on the subject you have to sale and am very interested in buying it. I want to know all the details on the subject before to proceed with payment ..... 1. How long have you owned? 2. Why sell? 3. Last price? With its quick response to the information they need would be entertained prior to the next stage, form of payment is check. Please send back, if it still forsale. Hope to hear from you ASAP. regards Andy
