I have had a good few people recently enquiring about items I sell on gumtree.ie done deal.ie and adverts.ie. sending me their email to respond direct with the cost of the item. The cost of the item is stated in all ads, the phone number is not evEn from this country and they fail to deposit money into the PayPal account until you have a tracker number ...I.e already sent it via post.. These scam are quite easy to spot but a lot of people do fall for them...at the moment I am selling a laptop on done deal.ie and was asked send price direct to [email protected]. Although the number is non UK. +1 (347) 354-5550. I now this is a scam and I hope posting this will prevent others from being scammed from this or any other person

Welcome to Scamwarners. Fake emails confirming imaginary Paypal payments are common, but asking for the goods before paying (or not paying) less so.
The yahoo.co.address is no guarantee that the scammer is in the UK. He may be, but it's unlikely.
