Not sure if thesis a Scam or not but it is suspicious?

While searching for some Lego items on line I came across a web site:

They are offering Lego kits are very low prices.

I made an enquiry to them and received this email back from them:

Payment by Western Union only? Free shipping? $250 for an item that sells for $600?

Does anyone think this is a bit odd or is it just me?

It smells like a scam.

Claims to be locate in the UK
Prices quoted in US dollars.
Minimum order of five items.

Any merchant that allows only Western Union or MoneyGram as payment is a scammer. Please post the email headers. They may contain additional information, such as the sender's real location, useful for killing the supposed store. They will also contain the sender's email address, which other potential victims may look for.

As a further note on this one, I have found another site that is identical, but using a different name and claiming they are shipping out of the the US.

Legosre1 claims they are shipping out of England
Gadgetwares claims they ate shipping out of the US

Clearly something illegal going on here, beware.......

Both websites http://www.simpletrade.com.au and http://sydney.backpage.com are legitimate services that allow ad to be posted for free. As with any free service scam artists will take advantage of the situation and attempt to defraud the unsuspecting.

If you follow the posted guidelines for using these sites you will not have problems.

Never pay for an item via Western Union or other wire transfer service.
Deal locally and pay for the item in cash.
