Checks in the mail/Fex Ex

I received a check via Fed Ex on Monday for something I sold on Craig's List. The item was to be sold for $1500. The check was for $6000. The check was post marked from Ohio. The address on the check was Ridglea United Methodist Church in Fort Worth Texas. I googled the church information and called the church and what a surprise-the check was a fraud---the pastor of the church said there were several calls the same day with the same story. I created this post for everyone to post what checks they get in order to keep everyone safe and free of bank fraud. A friend of mine deposited a similar check and the bank closed her account.
