received an email today with the same info in it the name now is Colin D.

first i got this email :
contact my wife at [email protected] with final she is interested in your posted
Reply her directly: [email protected] with final price

so i then replied to see if it was real and got this :

Good to hear back from you,can you assure me that it's
in good condition and that i will not be disappointed with it.I'm ready to
pay your asking price and to be honest I am always busy at work and do not
have much time around me to make or answer calls. Moreover,I would have loved
to call but our satellite server has been down in recent days which
restricts our calls.I will be paying you through PayPal as it is the
only Medium at which i can send Payment at the Moment.
I would appreciate if you email me with more pictures (if available) too
since i won't be be able to see this in person. And if you don't have a
PayPal account, It's pretty easy to set up a PayPal account at
http://www.paypal.com/. it's just a few minutes away from signing up. it's
safe and secure for both Parties and i have been using PayPal to buy
and sell for years now without problems. Please get back to me with
your PayPal email so i can proceed with the payment and contact the
Pick up Agent who will come for the Pick up of the item.
I will need these following details so i can proceed with the payment right away

*Your PayPal e-Mail Address
*Home Address

As soon as you get back to me with your PayPal email, I'll proceed
with full Payment. I look forward to reading from you soon.

Regards
Colins.D

so i sent some pictures and then they sent this:

All i need from you is your paypal Email ID and your pick up home
address to make the payment.

Thanks

I posted an advertisement at Bend.Craigslist.org under antiques for sale by owner to sell a silver and black metal Waldorf wood stove. At 10:01 AM (PST) I received an e-mail through Craigslist's robot that someone used to generate the following message:
contact my wife at colinsdeal45(at)gmail.com with final she is interested in your posted Reply her directly: COLINSDEAL45(at)gmail.com with final price,

I did not reply with any pictures as doing that may compromise the security of my email address and any other online accounts associated with it, but I am thankful to the person that reported the same spam/scam on this public forum because it's the only search result that helped squash my doubts about trusting the message; that and the message was filtered by my SPAM inbox.

One important safety suggestion that may help anyone posting ads on Craigslist is to place some type of graphic watermark over images you post so that no one else can use them without your permission, but be careful and know that the images may also be used to impersonate you so be careful and mindful.
