Hi all.
I have just managed to stop my in-law's getting scammed in the same PayPal scam through Gumtree. The whole thing sounded too good to be true as I am quite savvy when it comes to buying cars as I have done many times in the past.
They had literally transferred the money tonight after having already tried to once and having it bouncing back - my wife unaware of all of this going on.
After searching for an 30 mins trying to find some hard evidence that the ad was a scam, I found this thread on google. So I would like to thank all of you for posting your experiences. Unfortunately it will not bring your money back but it has saves some one else thousands and more importantly stopped the discussing little s**ts from getting even more. THANKYOU!!!
